The percentage of wheelchair-accessible vehicles in our fleet is well over the 2% requirement set by the City of Los Angeles. Continuing our commitment to quality service, we offer our physically-challenged customers the widest range of wheelchair-accessible vehicles, from sedans to minivans.

Passenger Assistance Techniques Program

Our commitment to serving the special needs of our customers doesn't end with getting them from Point A to Point B. United Taxi's owner-drivers participate in a three-part program including classroom lectures and discussion, presentations, and videos relating to passenger assistance. United Taxi's "hands-on" approach integrates classroom instruction with practical situations, with professional trainers teaching consideration and safe assistance techniques for physically-challenged passengers. Key topics include:

• Assistance in boarding and alighting from vehicles



• Lift use



• Use of mobility devices for transfer



• Securing of mobility devices when required
